Historic Attractions in Texas
Perhaps the most famous of all Texas historic attractions is the Alamo. This is where a heroic group of nearly 200 Texas men held off the strongest advances of nearly 3,000 Mexican soldiers in an effort to preserve their freedom and territory. Located in downtown San Antonio, TX, the Alamo is just a short drive away from the Jellystone Park campgrounds in Canyon Lake. Spend a day exploring the history of nearby San Antonio and take a walk (or boat ride) down the famous River walk for excellent shopping and dining. Then return to your campsite for a relaxing campfire and nighttime fun under the stars.

The Dallas Cowboys are an iconic football franchise and make their home in Arlington Texas — just minutes from our campground in South Fort Worth. Whether the cowboys are in town or not, you will want to visit the legendary “Cowboys Stadium.” Recently rebuilt, the stadium is now home to one of the largest flat screen TV’s in the world. There are a variety of events going on at the stadium even when football is not in season. You can catch a rodeo, car show, or take a tour nearly any day of the week. The stadium is just one of the many reasons why a family camping trip to Texas is guaranteed to be an exciting adventure.
Experience the Wonders of Space Travel
Located just 35 miles from our Waller Texas campground , is the city of Houston. More specifically, the official visitors center of NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Here you and your family can experience what it’s like to travel in space, without ever leaving the building. Hands on experiences include “landing the space shuttle”, “retrieving a lost satellite”, and “preparing meals in space” just to name a few. Your family can also embark on a behind the scenes tour of the control and communication rooms where NASA experts guide and talk to the crews out in space. The Johnson Space Center is truly a must see destination on your family’s next vacation to the Houston area.
Bring Your Dancing Shoes
Texas’ largest Honky-Tonk is located in Fort Worth, but will be more than worth the drive, even if you are staying at our family campground in Waller, Texas. There are nightly shows that your family will love, featuring some of today’s biggest country stars. You can catch a live rodeo, live music show, or some of the best BBQ in the state. The gift shop is open seven days a week, so you and your family can pick up souvenirs to commemorate the event. Whatever brings you to Billy Bob’s Texas, you will be sure to return to the campground feeling like you had a genuine Texas experience.
Wine Down at Fredericksburg
After having fun with your children all day, the afternoon may be well spent having a taste of wine at one of the many wineries located near our Fredericksburg’s Jellystone Park. With great amenities, accommodations, and activities for the whole family you will know you made the right choice to visit this park!
Relax on the Guadalupe River
Our newest part is located in Kerrville, Texas, right along the Guadalupe River. If you are looking for a relaxing, family oriented weekend, this is a great option! With plenty of activities and many different type of accommodations, this campground will provide your family with plenty of good times.
Rose Capital
Our park is located in Tyler Texas; the rose capital of the country. your entire family will enjoy their time staying at this Jellystone Park. Located on 47 acres in the rolling hills of the East Texas Piney Woods north of Tyler, Texas, Whispering Pines is one of the most beautiful parks in the South.
Wichita Falls
Located on the southeast side of Wichita Falls, approximately ¼ mile out of the City limits, true Texas country is on the edge of city convenience! Jellystone Park at Coyote Ranch is host to 123 beautiful RV sites (73 pull thru and 50 back in.) There are 23 Cabins and a Pacific Yurt. Take advantage of the large rally room with laundry facilities and showers. Coyote Ranch also has a large Lodge on the property and a Wedding Chapel. Lodge can be used for Business Meetings, Weddings, Receptions, Showers, Parties, Family Reunions, etc.
