Fishing and camping go hand in hand and many Jellystone Park™ campgrounds have great fishing holes. If you are a recreational fisherman, take advantage of our fishing lakes. For something more challenging, you’ll enjoy mountain stream fishing and contests.
Cherokee, North Carolina is known for fishing and you’ll find a Smoky Mountain stream running right through the Jellystone Park. Every summer, anglers compete for prizes as they try to catch brown, brook, or rainbow trout.
Another North Carolina location – Tabor City – was featured in the October 2004 issue of Bassmaster’s Magazine for its prime trout fishing. Tabor City also has a stocked trout stream winding through the campground and is a favorite fishing destination in the Myrtle Beach area.
