Children can also make their own noisemakers as a craft activity to help wake up Yogi Bear, Boo Boo and Cindy Bear to kick off the 2025 camping season

Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear have slept long enough, but they might need a little help waking up.

Fortunately, come springtime, families that stay at Jellystone Park locations can gather their pots and pans and homemade noisemakers and join their fellow campers in a noisy parade to wake them up! 
    
"This is easily the loudest activity we have all year," said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, the Southfield, Michigan-based company that franchises Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts across North America. 
 
He added that many Jellystone Park locations offer craft activities in which kids can make their own noisemakers to help wake up the beloved Warner Bros. characters. 
    
The dates of waking up Yogi Bear events vary by location but typically take place in the springtime. Photo opportunities and other activities with the characters often follow the bear-waking events. "Once they are awake, Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear can then take part in organized activities which are scheduled throughout the season," Hershenson said.

Jellystone Park locations are famous for providing fun, family attractions, activities, and themed weekends that include everything from pools and water slides to mini golf and foam parties to wagon rides and dance parties. 
    
Below are a few examples of waking up Yogi Bear events scheduled at Jellystone Park locations across the U.S. and Canada: 

California

-  Lodi: The waking of the characters is scheduled for the weekend of April 4-6 at this location. The fun starts Saturday morning with a noisemaker craft activity. Guests will then put their noisemakers to good use by marching in a noisemaker parade to wake up the bears. Other weekend activities include a Bear Boogie Dance Party. 

Illinois

- Pittsfield: The weekend of April 11-13 is when the waking of the bears takes place at this location. Activities include a pajama karaoke party and a plant-a-flower activity. 

Indiana 

- Knightstown: The waking of the bears coincides with Easter at this location on the weekend of April 18-20. Activities include waking the bears, egg decorating, egg tossing, and an epic egg hunt. 

Iowa 

- Monticello: The waking of the bears takes place April 11-13 at this location and will be followed by a craft show.  

Michigan

- Carsonville:  The waking of the bears is scheduled for April 25-27 at this location. Guests can enjoy fun-filled activities, games, and photo ops with their favorite characters, all while exploring this beautiful park.

Missouri

- Monroe City: Guests at this location can wake up Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear at their Bears Den on the weekend of April 25-27 and kick off the camping season.  

New Hampshire

- Milton: Guests who visit this location the weekend of May 16-18 will have an opportunity to create their own noisemaker to use in a noisemaker parade to help wake up the bears. Campers can also join the Bear Boogie Dance Party and show off their "bear-y best" dance moves.

New York

- Endicott: May 2-4 is this location's "Searching for the Bears Mystery Weekend." Activities begin Saturday morning with a "Welcome Back Campers" donut social and a craft activity in which guests can create their own custom noisemaker to wake up Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear. There will also be games of hide-and-seek and other mystery related games and activities for all ages. 

- North Java: Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear will all come out of hibernation April 25-27 at this location. Guests will also be able to learn about bears from local wildlife experts. 

Ohio

- North Lawrence: Easter is the time when Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear wake up at this location. Guests will not only be able to create their own noisemaker for the noisemaker parade to wake up the bears but also participate in an exciting egg hunt and meet the Easter Bunny. 

- Nova: On the weekend of April 25-27 guests will be able to wake up the characters from their long winter slumber. A variety of fun games and crafts are also planned.

- Uniontown: Guests at this location can help wake up Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear on the park's opening weekend, May 9 to 11. Guests can parade down to the Bears Den Saturday morning with their pots and pans and other noisemakers. Once the characters are awake, campers will be able to enjoy crafts and games with Yogi Bear and his friends. 

Canada

- Woodstock, New Brunswick: The waking of the bears weekend takes place May 30 to June 1 at this location, which kicks off the summer camping season by inviting guests to bring their homemade noisemakers to the pots and pans pet parade, which is certain to wake up Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear from their winter hibernation. Other activities include an Easter egg hunt and a "Pampered People Pet Show," in which guests dress up as their favorite pet and do pet impersonations.
