The Jellystone Park campground near Rochester was recently featured on examiner.com. Here’s an excerpt from the article written by Rebecca Lucyshyn, who is part of a stay-at-home moms group:
Pure family fun is what comes to mind to describe Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resorts! A very short drive from Rochester, Buffalo, and Niagara Falls, and located in North Java, New York, this is not your parent’s campground! This campground has something for everyone. It has campsites for tents and trailers. For those who like the comforts of home, there are also cabins (deluxe and lakefront), chalet homes, and deluxe trailers, all with air conditioning, kitchen areas, color tv, and more! The prices vary with sites having different seasons (i.e. in season, 4th of July, other holiday weekends, and also a half off Spring and Fall season).
The whole family will love the Water Zone! Bring your beach bag and towels and set up at one of the many cabana tables/chairs that are spread out around the whole water zone. Be prepared to get soaking wet once you enter the water zone! This is similar to a climbing playground complete with every type of water spray gun imaginable, dumping water buckets, a big tower that every so often gives a warning before it squirts out an unbelievable amount of water! There are two smaller straight blue waterslides, and a red and a yellow twisty water slide. When parents aren’t in the water, they can see most areas of the water zone from the center area if they set up at the cabana chair/tables in that area!
The recreation program is also fabulous! Each morning, an energetic camp director starts off with a flag ceremony and exercises! They then give a morning hayride that takes you around the whole campground, which consists of songs, and an appearance and pictures (your camera) with either Yogi Bear or Cindy Bear! They also do the hayride at night!
