Delaware Beaches Jellystone Park features large, pull through campsites which can easily accommodate big rig RVs. If you’re not a camper, try a cabin rental – this park offers rentals ranging from rustic cabins to luxury cabins with bathroom facilities. Onsite family activities include a large swimming pool, children’s playground, game room, pedal cart rentals, horseshoes, volleyball court, and an outdoor movie theater. Campsites feature 50 amp electric, full hookup sites, cable, wireless internet, concrete patios, picnic tables, and fire rings. For your convenience, at the Delaware campground, you’ll find a clubhouse, open air pavilion, clean bath house, laundry facilities, and a camp store for those little necessities.
Delaware Casinos & Racing
Feel the excitement of gaming and horse racing at two of Delaware’s premier racetracks and casinos. At Harrington Raceway & Casino, just 11.5 miles from the campground, you will find over 1,800 slot machines, 40 table games, a poker room, and a 350 seat racing simulcast parlor. Please your pallet with one of their many dining options which includes your choice of fast food, an international buffet, or more formal options. Enjoy weekend entertainment of live music or a comedy show. Dover Downs (26 miles from the campground in Lincoln Delaware) has 2,800 slot machines with denominations ranging from a penny to one hundred dollars; game tables including blackjack, roulette, craps, poker; and horse racing. There are 10 restaurants to satisfy your hunger. Depending on your mood and time, choose from a buffet or a sit-down steak dinner. Release your inner shop-a-holic! Tanger Outlet Center located 18 miles away at Rehoboth Beach features all of your favorite outlet stores. Stroll down the boardwalk for other great shops and restaurants. You’ll find souvenirs and gifts for everyone on your list back home. Rehoboth is also a great spot to find watercraft rentals, festivals, mini-golf, boat rides and more.
Delaware Beach Waterparks & Amusement Parks
For more family fun, explore one of the area’s adventure parks or waterparks. Jungle Jim’s (20 miles from the campground) is Delaware’s largest waterpark featuring a huge wave pool, several waterslides, lazy river tube ride, kiddie pool, bumper boats, rock climb, batting cages, go-karts, and mini-golf. Midway Speedway Park (16 miles from the campground) has 4 parks to choose from. Midway Speedway has year-round go-kart racing on 5 different tracks. It’s driving fun for all ages including little racers. White Water Mountain has 2 swimming pools, waterslides, and body flumes to help you keep your cool in the summertime heat. Fire Mountain Golf lets you play a round of 18-hole mini-golf under the shadow of the Fire Mountain Volcano. The Fun Park at Midway Speedway Park offers bumper boats with water guns, a climbing wall, and Gravity Storm—an antigravity/trampoline ride.
Delaware Beaches Golf
Satisfy your golf obsession and immerse yourself in 18-holes of championship golf at either Baywood Greens Golf Coarse (21 miles) or The Rookery (8 miles). Baywood Greens is located in Longneck Beach, DE and features a pro shop, restaurant, and can accommodate banquets and weddings. The Rookery is located in the Rehoboth Beach Resort Area and features a state-of-the-art driving range, pro shop, and the Blue Heron Grille. Both are open to the public year-round.
Delaware Beaches Bird Watching
Get your inner naturalist into the action with the Delaware Birding Trail. Delaware is known internationally as the “Shorebird Capital of the World” so there will be no shortage of coastal bird sightings. Some of the top stops to experience along the Birding Trail are Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, and Killen’s Pond. Bombay Hook NWR (35 miles) offers year-round bird watching and features an auto-loop tour that weaves through different habitats such as fresh and salt marshes, mudflats, fields, ponds, and woodlands. The visitor center has an Auto Tour Pamphlet that includes a map of all the stops along the loop road. Prime Hook NWR (14.5 miles) has many walking trails that traverse through the wetland habitat. Killen’s Pond State Park (11 miles) has a 3.2 walking trail encircling the 66 acre pond and offers boat rentals for your enjoyment.
